Nekuvo accessibility
We are working to make Nekuvo usable by as many people as possible. This page only describes what is present in the current beta and what still needs validation.
Current status
Nekuvo has not yet undergone a complete accessibility conformance audit. We therefore do not publish a percentage, WCAG conformance level or certification. Validation across multiple iPhones and assistive technologies is still in progress.
Support already built in
- Main buttons, tabs, fields and message states include VoiceOver labels.
- Many screens use Dynamic Type and allow content to scroll when text is enlarged.
- The iOS Reduce Motion setting limits movement and stops animated room ambience.
- Main actions are designed with touch targets of at least 44 points and do not rely on colour alone.
- The website supports keyboard navigation, provides a visible focus indicator and respects the system reduced-motion setting.
- Kitten cards have play, pause and mute controls. No video starts when the website loads; sound stops when the card closes. With reduced motion enabled, playback stays manual.
- Press-room films include a text summary of their story.
Known limitations
- Animated scenes, the expression wheel and some highly visual layouts still need full device testing with VoiceOver, Voice Control and Switch Control.
- The largest text sizes may require additional scrolling and must be verified on every critical journey.
- Contrast still needs checking across all room backgrounds in light and dark appearances.
- Sent private photos do not yet offer an optional text description for VoiceOver.
- App Store accessibility labels will only be completed after validation against Apple’s criteria.
